The GBV Programming is a toolkit to prevent, mitigate and respond to GBV. The BSM Academy is our response initiative – providing innovative capacity building programs for survivors to cope and actively participate in the rapid technological advancements.
Digital Literacy Program
In 2021, we launched our program of Digital Literacy Program through Zoom, see graduate informations here. We have produced 30 graduates who are qualified for a technological institute scholarship in the Philippines! Our graduates come from our partner foundation who cares for GBV survivors.
During the 14-day digital camp, the scholars had courses on digital citizenship, graphic design, and website design. They also had workshops on entrepreneurship, job interviews and even soap making to have some creative mix as per our partner foundation’s request.
We are in the process of developing our online program through using LMS software so that we can expand our modules to reach more GBV survivors and provide them a learning opportunity that is vital in professional development today.
Our digital literacy modules are formulated by teachers, social workers and friends who are graduates of Stanford University. Whilst our entrepreneurship and other extra courses are supported by well recognized and experienced experts from multiple fields.
The BSM Academy is offered for FREE and only available to GBV survivors that are under the care of our foundation partner. The graduates will be gaining a Qualification Certificate that would allow them to pursue a diploma or course in our partner institutes, including a recommendation to take internships or part-time jobs in our partner organizations.
