As we launched the BSM this year, we have enforced to actively participate in recognizable summits in order to make our impact in a larger scale such as Stop Crimes Against Women Summit presented by VACC (Volunteers Against Crime and Corruption) in 2019 at the Manila Hotel.
This is officially our first event of participation as BSM.
The event was attended by many influential political and legal individuals such as the Philippines Chief Public Attorney, Deputy Spokesperson of the Philippine National Police, and of course, other notable private persons.
Our Founder is a delegate and facilitator during the summit. As a facilitator, she handled the clusters (policemen groups and other civic society groups) as they engage in discussions on how to better the current public policies to protect women’s rights. She was also responsible for collecting all this information to conclude a proposal that would be sent to the Office of the President.
Since then, the BSM has served as a front desk for youth survivors asking for resources to handle their situations and cases – we have handled at least 20 legal and psychological cases in the span of two years.
