This has been quite a fulfilling week as I visited Brussels for the first time, and went to the European Parliament and European Commission.
During my trip, I was able to have a meeting with MEP (Member of European Parliament) Hildegard Bentele ; it has been very empowering. We had a prolific discussion about gender-based violence, women in politics, and renewable energy that she herself has been strongly leading.
On top of that, we are also able to exchange on how I, in behalf of BSM could be more deeply involved in speaking about GBV at an EU level, such as strengthening our Digital Literacy Program that would support beneficiaries in obtaining gainful employment, and innovative technologies in cooperation with our allies in order to resolve online exploitation and trafficking.
These projects are indeed quite exciting and I am looking forward to be a part of this very important committee.
Together we can make history by breaking silence.
